F4 vs F4i
hey just picked up a 2000 CBR F4 today and I notice most people are running F4i's rather then F4's.. my question.. any real difference other then fuel injection vs carbs? I realise i'll probably get flammed for this but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

Re: F4 vs F4i
carbs sounds tend to bog out.. but they can flow a lot more gas than fuel injection.
i had an F4 it was cool i didnt really go all out and stunt it full time i was just riding it as a commuter as a daily driver etc... prior to me selling it i had the basic clutch manuever down.
overall its a good bike. its pretty fast theyre fun.
but f4i i'd say is more reliable
and f4i also have banana seats just get a newer one.. but why have a banana seat i'd rather have the solo seat with that sick rear end on the 01-03 years.
if i ever got an f4i i'd want it to be red/white scheme and a 01.
but f4's are good to start on to learn the feel of a600cc learn how to ride etc.
how much did you pay?

Re: F4 vs F4i
i'm hoping its decent to get my wheelies down since it weighs significantly less then my ZX7 did.. I don't care if i can't do anything too technical on it without it bogging because its going to be one hell of a lot easier to stunt then my 7 was.. If i'm happy with this bike i'll look into an F4i later on but for the next couple seasons i should be good with this.
how severe is the bogging down?

i think you paid a little waaaay 2 much.
heres some pics of my old one. #1 pic is day 2 of me having and pic #2 is like almost a year later
i paid 2900 abused it like it was a ***** and then sold it for 3 with a baaald *** rear tire
as you can see i tried to self polish the wheels.. did a couple things to it
i made it look a lot nicer than it was.
i also crashed on it once

its like 4220 american, prices on used bikes if you buy through dealerships are usualyl jacked up here.. but i'd rather get it with that good warranty rather then get stuck with a bike thats got hidden problems

i never had one single problem on my bike.. it always started ran strong no matter how much gas i gave it.. the brakes started to go out and i wasnt really payin attention to how little brake i had left until i almost got killed on it.. i didnt even wanna bother with it then i just sold it it had 30+ thousand miles on it and i was tired of it .. gettin my big boy bike this summer

Re: F4 vs F4i
my zx7 first the drain plug blew out of it and i was doin about 65mp/h when i hit the corner and it blew and i pulled over after the bend and it pissed hot oil everywhere on a ****** scalding day then fixed that then it started runnin like **** and it turns out the carb boots were old and hard so they didn't conform to the carbs and kawi has gutless customer service and 0 new carb boots or airboxes in the entire world, after calling kawi canada, US, UK, germany, france and getting in touch with kawi japan I was told i was basically **** outta luck. hence I will never buy another kawi again, they didn't even offer any suggestions they simply said its not their fault.
/end rant.
