Best 1000 For wheelies?

My friend has a R1 that I really like its a 2003 it is fast and he can do sick wheelies on it. I already have a 600 stuntbike but I was looking for a 1000 cc bike to wheelie & just mess around on. I'm gonna have about $7500 to $8000 spend on a bike and I was looking for something with lower milage & a great wheelie bike. What do you guys think would be a bike equal to or better than that?
If you guys think this is a dumb post than please just move on & don't even bother posting. I tried searching & found alot of suggestions on 600's but not so much 1000cc talk. Thanks for the help.

Re: Best 1000 For wheelies?

The R1's pretty forgiving, I love mine........not for the serious stunter though. If you REALLY want to stunt, stick w/ a 600.

I love the 02-03 R1's...but a 954 would be my second choice...real light and very powerful! Size feels like a 600 but has the 1k power
