F4i Idle Screw Mod (pics)

Re: F4i Idle Screw Mod (pics)
Ok, I've used the search feature for an idle mod for my 03 600rr (so the smart *** that is goin to comment on this and tell me to use the search can kiss my ***!!! LOL). I have found some info but still have questions.
1). They said to the the stock where it is.. From what I've read I understand the stock is just a fuel mixture. But when they say leave it stock does that mean don't mess with it at the throttle bodies or leave it stock as in, where it is adjusted at the end of the idle cable!
2). I got a 02 F4i cable so do I need to cut it down a little?
The reason I askin all this before trying is b/c we all know the 600rr is a pain to work on and almost everyone I read about doing this on there 600rr runs into a idling problem! Just trying to detour myself from even crossing that bridge!

Re: F4i Idle Screw Mod (pics)
So Im a little confused. Why is this mod good or relevant? Whats the point? Everyone keeps saying that the stock idle adjuster adjusts the fuel/air mixture. But this is a fuel injected bike not carbed. So what does the new cable do?

Hello Stuntlife,
Hope everyone is having a good morning. I'm new to the forum and I have to say you guys are a genius when it comes to mods. I recently purchased a 2002 CBR600F4i and the idle was very high, like 4 - 5k. I looked for the idle adjustment screw and couldn't find any where it should be so I investigated and found that my bike used to be a stunt bike. He started the idle screw mod and didn't finish it. The forum taught me how it works and what to do. THANK YOU! I also did the air box mod and I'm done with everything. My idle is now 2 - 2.5k but I would like to bring it down even more. I tried syncing the starter valves but they will not adjust. Nothing happens. The carbs are pretty close to even but trying to adjust the starter valves I get nothing. I haven't taken the starter valves apart because I wanted to ask the Stuntlife community what their thoughts on what to do. Thank you...Please help!
