Thumbs down stoppie question

hey guys just had a stoppie question.
when first doing stoppies is it best to stay sitting and just lean forward a bit or stand up and try it. I know that it is all in what feels the best but i thought i would get some input before i try anything fast or tall. any input at all would be great, oh and if it helps its a 05 z1000 that im riding.
thanks, Matt

Re: stoppie question

ok so i do need to be off the seat a bit, thats pretty much what i needed to know. makes me a bit nervouse for the simple fact that i just got this bike and i dont want to crash it. so i try to do it at low speed.

Yeah the force will bring bring you off the seat some. Well just take your time..Roll at like 45 and just squeeze the brake like a trigger and the rear should come up some and get used to that. Just take things slow you should be good. Also make sure that you try on a good clean surface no dirt, oil etc

Re: stoppie question

This is what i do: 1) Get up some speed 2) make sure the road is clear (no dirt or wet ****) 3) Lean forward 4) Give the bike a little bounce on the rear end and pull in the brake, Hard and Fast (aye lewis)

Re: stoppie question

ive seen plenty of ppl roll them with their *** almost a foot off the seat. i always had my *** planted. i think it has to do with how tall you are which will affect the center of gravity. post pics of your form so we can critique you!
