Re: rolling burnouts/doughnuts

Always wondered, how do you guys do those rolling burnouts in at like 40mph? I mean, you cant just grab the front brake, youll wash out?

How do you get the tire to break loose in 2nd like that?

burnouts are a near lost artform in the stunting world..

i love em..

specially on good concrete when you can whip em super wide.

Re: rolling burnouts/doughnuts

oh ya knowledge forgot... sorry..

what was the question again? fast burnouts...

easy.. start a burnout and slowly release the front brake until you begin to gain speed.. (lotsa throttle too)

front wont tuck and if it does.. too much brake try less next time!

Re: rolling burnouts/doughnuts

I started out doing highchair burnouts they are the easiest to get started or if you kind of scared to do that try spreader burnouts. The donuts are simple just try to keep your gas steady and work the front break, work on getting them smooth and don't blow up your motor.

edit: I start out in 2nd gear and rev-let out clutch fast (same concept as popping clutch just let it out a bit slower) while grabbing front break at same time but not to much to endo. Lean really far over your tank so it dont pop up on you and it loosens up just fine, if your clutch is slipping it can cause you trouble make sure you gotta a good clutch, good front tire, and good break

Re: rolling burnouts/doughnuts

no problem man, I used to be kind of scared to do them now its like an addiction. The easiest trick to pull off is chainsaws lol they look hard but sooo easy. Lay bike over pick it up to a certain point, have fun

Re: rolling burnouts/doughnuts

another way i learned is to get your revs up high and pull the break as you roll on the gas untill the tire breaks loose took me a few trys but once you get um you can do them down the freeway all day.

Re: rolling burnouts/doughnuts

40mph-60mph rolling burnouts are really easy on big bike and good sticky front tyre. Just select gear that gives you around 7000rpm and lean forward to give more weight to the front, then start to brake more and more and add throttle to suit so the speed stays constant. 954 starts to burnout just like this real easy. just lean forward and raise your *** off the seat. you can do it like one or two fingers on the brake.

you can also try to brake it loose with clutch, but it can raise the front. It's probably better just brake more and more so the front dives first. make the engine work against the brake first.

but also be ready to really fast to pull in the clutch and let the throttle and brake off if the front lets go.

with donuts, do not let the throttle off or pull the clutch, you highside for sure. Just keep it nailed, sometimes it turns too fast but it stops turning after 90-180 decrees after that fast turn part.

Re: rolling burnouts/doughnuts

on my six i used to do em at about 50 with a dun 208..
to break the tire id drop the clutch and give the bars a quick push toward the ground at the same time then just work the f brake to go faster or slower..
they look reckless but are actually pretty easy..
i like to throw some side to side fish tails in while doin em..
