Re: learn 12s the easist way???

do you guys adjust your rear brake angle for standups? Your brake is parallel with the asphalt, so when you are 12'n the brake is vertical, and your foot can only bend back so much to reach it

Re: learn 12s the easist way???

its actually pretty easy once you get used to it. i stand more on my heel during 12 and slow wheelies and point my foot slightly inward.

ANT, whats the best sceneario that you can think of for someone to learn to 12 standing up using the rear brake and all? Like on a stock geared 03 1000. Whats the best gear and should you idle your bike up also?

Yo Tony ! my mate the politician decided to use his exhaust on the new blade as a bar..it dug a 30" long grove in the road 1" deep he was going pretty good coasten just before it happened.then touch down!! it picked up the rear wheel then bashed him up, got it on film. think we might loose the pipe for next time..

its on the bike now , looks good but havent had a chance to test it yet since i have to take the bike back to his house and have him put some finishing touches on it.
will post when i get a chance to test.
Can your friend make me a 12 bar like that?
please email me
i'm interested

have someone hold the rear brake and then go beside it and pull the bike up and onto the 12 bar. Then take as many pictures as possible and people will love you.

why don't you just keep it in gear, rather then holding the brake.

two people grab under a fork and lift.

Re: learn 12s the easist way???

a few weeks ago i tried 12'in my 99 zx6r for the first time, with no bar.. i tried probly about 5 times gettin the tail real close, and finally decided to hit it.. i went back and scraped and also hit my pipe, kinda of lost balance and the bike got tossed to the side, broke my left side frame slider off (steel) and my rear set bracket.. also bent my bar...but besides that it was smooth, the tail did not get cracked just scraped.. so now as soon as i get a bracket and bend my bar back.. i think i will have a little more luck

If you keep your body tight, your head should be staring into the bike do not look up or let your head wander and focus on the rear brake youll need a new tail in no time. after you get comfortable with the body position you can look every where.....good luck

Hi everybody i`m another new one in here and i come from germany where stuntriding is not very popular. but some like.
But now look at this!!!
I think 12s are ok but if you want to earn money with it you have to do a liitle more.

But fun is fun

i put a bar on my f4i on friday night. i started learning to ride slow wheelies the next day. i got them down to about 10mph and i have pretty good break control. i have stock gearing as well. is this pretty good? I am afraid to touch right now because i dont have a cage. It'll be here in a couple of days. My friend put the bar on the same time i did and he was riding with me. He touched his bar 2 times and crashed both times. He said that your balance gets really squirley when you are scraping.

If you are rockin 10mph your first night out with stock gears you're doing good in my opinion.

thats cool to hear. I'm going to go with a 55 tooth rear from sprocket specialist when i get the chance. That should also help. right? So when i finally do hit the bar should i just try to park it or should i try and ride it back down. I just think it would be awesome to get off and see my bike standing at a 12 for the 1st time.
