clutch it up good... ( its gonna take lots of practice to be consistent) and once your about 10 o clock.. start easing into the brake and leaning back... hold the throttle steady because chopping it will drop the wheelie.. control the wheelie with the brake...

it takes tons of practice to get this... one of the hardest things ive learned... but just keep at it and youll get it.

the main thing to riding a slow wheelie is knowing how to use the brake and keep it up... u gotta actually go past the balance point to slow it down...

Thanks guys, sounds like its gonna be a challenge. I rode my R6 all summer and learned donuts, decent stoppies, but I could never do the slow-high wheelies on it. I got a buddy who said his XR70 helped him out alot with them. I may have to find one!!! Bye the way, I love this website... everyone I talk to, online and In person who stunts are super-friendly and not elite ********. I cant wait to ride now!:p

I've been told and seen it for my own eyes, that learning on a XR50, 70, etc. will totally help you learn brake control. I cant wait to get my fiddy!:D

Well.. I have AWESOME brake control on my 100. However, I didnt really learn on there till after I learned on the gixxer. I just wish I could ride my gixxer like my XR. I can tear the **** up outta the XR without even trying

Be careful pulling slow standups with your left foot on the back peg on your R6. The shape of the tail will hit your leg and make it bend. We just ripped apart the tail on an R6 to take care of that problem.

Go with a 100 instead. A 70 is like.. "I'm not pimp enough to rock a fiddy, but I couldn't afford the 100"

agreed YOU MUST BE A PIMP TO ROCK A FIDDY, but learning brake control on either will help A LOT. I actually think if you want to learn 12's the 70 would be better cuz you can balance it very high like a 100. a fiddy though is to small to be able to learn to scrape on, i've hit a few times w/o touching the ground and it was out of sheer luck.

Dude that is nice

Who else is doing that on the 100's?

I agree that 100's are a great learning tool. It seems I can translate more of what I learn from the 100 to a big bike. I put a scrape bar on my '01 but I have no clue how to put pics on here. HELP
