93 900/945rr in TX
I am really thinking about selling my 900, or partial trading it so i can get either a 954, or gixxer 1k. It has 1600 miles on a fresh 945cc build, lots of other mods too. I am looking to get about $5000obo. It is in great shape. Polished frame, swingarm, and top triple, 520 conversion, yosh rearsets, racetech forks, steering damper, autometer tach, sigma bicycle computer, f3 front wheel, full TBR exhaust, factory jet kit, 99 body custom painted. There are more, but not going to list em all, but thats about the sum of it. Someone shoot me some offers.

Everyone keeps asking that, but no i have not yet. I am not working right now, so when i start working again i will either take it to Sabin Performance, or Cycle Werkz and have them dyno tune it to get the max hp....

The rearsets and the forks. Is the 945 made from the first or second gen engine design?

i thought i had the rear sets but i guess i sold them, and the forks i don't have either. These are set up pretty decent, they work good for stunting and racing. As far as the kit i guess its from the first gen. Not sure what the difference is.

i'd think it'd almost have to be an 893cc originally, will a 96+ RR engine even fit in a 93-95 frame? im working on gettin a 997cc big bore kit for mine, all i gotta do is work till i got $800 layin around to spare..... CBR997RR sure does have a nice ring to it tho :D

it is an original 893, and runs great. There really is no difference in the two. I work for Honda i should know. They both have the same problems.....and just curious, but why is it a waste of money. I think it is pretty impressive, also considering i didn't spend a fortune on it.

yes. please tell us why a 919cc is SO much better than a 893cc 900RR.... mine is a 95(893cc) i have rode a couple of 97-98 900RR's 919cc) mine sure feels a hell of a lot stronger than the other 2 i have rode

i guess i offended some people who have spent some $ on their older 900 motors. Well i'm glad to see that you are some honda fans-cause i used to defend mine the same way. until i realized that all 900's are slow in comparison to the new fi bikes. Also the 96+ motors have better electrics(tps) and no fuel pump.
anyway i was relating to the simple fact that the 898cc motors are now, at minimum, 7 years old and that your money would be better spent building up a newer motor for the reason being that it is NEWER. I also ride mine 10x's harder than ya'll no-i wont argue about that-i know i do. So i should have looked at where ya'll are coming from and said that: if i was going to trick out a 900 motor for regular street/race use, it wouldn't matter what engine i used. Why should i use a newer motor then? Because newer motors have lasted me longer.

big balla- i hear you dude!! i would have to agree-older RR motors aren't nearly as good as the newer ones-theylast about a year of hard stunting-you'll smoke the #3 rod bearing if you like wheelies:-) my 2 cents-been there-done that!
big balla-pm me on how you built a scrape bar for your rr and gears and ****....
