Re: Looking for a bike!

If you're that worried about it, you could buy a couple of axle stands and stick those under the frame, either side of the engine. It'll be a bit more stable than the jack.

Re: Looking for a bike!

Gonna jack it up onto axel stands with a paddock on the back. Cheers for the help. Dunno how hard it is gonna be to strip down the front end. Gotta replace the fork seals and sort out the brake which is binding on the disc. Will let you know when its all done lads.

Re: Looking for a bike!

Anyone know if there is any front suspension upgrades for the CB500? I only need to replace some parts on one. But may aswell go for some new ones while I'm spending money on it.

Re: Looking for a bike!

Leave them as is just sort the seals. Unless your a stoppie hero its a waste of time.A Stiffer rear will help you most.

Or cut a half inch long tube same dia' as the spring and when you put them back together put the tube on top of the spring to add preload.

Re: Looking for a bike!

Sweet. I think I'll leave them alone then. Just trying to find somewhere I can pick up the parts today!

Re: Looking for a bike!

Mine had the mod Pez said about, and heavier oil.
Without doing it, it wasnt half as good. And I also fitted sexy Hagon rears and that was the biggest improvement to the handling
