I gather the Escort Cosworth is pretty rare in the States?

Non-existent. It was never released here. Along with every other small car that is either sporty or diesel.

I've seen 2. Both were imported and gorgeous. Like I stated earlier, I'd give my left nut for one

But if you give your left nut for one you wont be able to double barrel a bird

Pffft out of all the cosworths, I think the Escort is my least fave. I love them all to bits still, just I prefer the 3dr, and the Saphirre a little more.

Re: Other toys ( cars, kit cars, quads ect...)

I love original style E30 as well, and my red cabrio is exactly that sort, modified a bit to still be comfortable to go down the streets (I have cups for Borbets but they missing in that pic, because I had a crash, wheels were damaged and bla bla bla)
But the gold one is more like sport car and is still in building process . The engine was so powerfull, I should have to change 17" wheels to 18". If your Finland friend is so smart, he should know, it's not possible at all for e30, but we did it and thats why we should have to change body kit, cut half of doors, create more space for air to have access to engine and bla bla bla

If i had plenty of cash i would like a big power escort also cossie powered mk2 escort but would never give up my 3dr (had several people wanting to buy it over the years) it is one of three of my dream cars i've owned used to have '79 Trans am last of the 6.6l ones and sold a chipped up sapphire 2wd to buy the 3dr the original and best
