Re: section 59

I had my first section 59 from a PCSO, i was going through town and he walked aound the corner and flagged me to stop. when i took my helmet off i realized he was about 12 and his cloths were a bit to big for him and they still had the fold crease from were he had took it out of the packet that morning. he gave me a section 59 for over reving the bike and having no consideration for other road users.. i took no notice of the chump untill i recieved a letter from the police with the official warning,, these things wil be on your record for 12 months and if you get another with in that
period you will have your vehicle siezed and imponded. you can either pay a fine of 120 on the spot or let them take your vehicle and pay later with storage charges,, believe me as i had four last year and i forked out 120 twice when the recovery car came to collect the bike as i did not want to pay their 60 pound a night storage charge.... It got me looking...

Yes plastic pigs can, so you are fucked either way. When I was given a Section 59 last year in a gated car park at 10.30 at night. I was told that even though it was a car park it was still classed as a public highway as member of the general public still had foot access and could walk through.

They were also kind enough to send me a letter stating that if I get caught again then I would get an ASBO and they would seize my crf50.

So far I have not had any hasle on 636 but it does not get alot of use

Re: section 59

A Section 59 can NOT be issued on Private Property, even better if you have landowners permission.

Only a warning can be issued if... "causing, or likely to cause, alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public"

I would write a letter demanding an explanation and what acts have been contravened as you were clearly on Private Property.
A Section 59 isnt good if its placed on the vehicle itself, if they catch up with you again they can or may seize your vehicle dude.

True if i lived in London i would have probably try to run him over,,,
what you got to realize is that i live in wellingborough which is a very small town. i am known with regards to my bike and if i tried to get away from them they will probably know where i live . specially when they know who i am as i have the only green and orange bike which looks battered. i also do the parade of power in wellingborough which is ran by Santa pod and the Police is involved in the security... I know what you are saying but i didn't want to **** on my own doorstep,,

Re: section 59

Ive still got an ASBO on my bike for crashing through a fence at a local park an ride cos the pigs turned up as my rad was tryin to squirt me in the eyes with boilin hot water to be fair i put the fence back together an they let me off with that bit.

...after that i just stopped riding until i had a proper bit of private land with permission, and ive also got gates now with a big fat anti-popo lock so i can stunt naked if i want to

I found the best way is to offer advertisement if you have a van for the bike, see if they want any company graphics puttin on it in return for using the land, the van may look a bit daft but if it means ya can stunt with no hassle its well worth it

Re: section 59

ou, few times we got stopped by police also, in some kind of private parking area with pedestrians walk through. First they said: "It's not allowed to carry passenger like that!"
Ou - really? We didn't know that... :D
But they was nice officers and just said we should stop do that, because someone called and complained.
I have a pic from that even

Re: section 59

At least you are parked within the designated white lines! There "has been complaints" it is one of the first bullshit lines they trot out to justify there existance and reason to stop you.
