f4i fan problem

i wired my fan direct to a switch today and now the bike runs like ****.. when im practicing sit down circles and land the bike back on its 2 wheels it cuts out some times and the revs are up and down like a ****** knickers! ive ran the wires direct from the battery to the fan.. theres 2 wires on the connector block on the side of the fan, ive the positive on to 1 of the wires and my negative is going to another wire under the connector block.. the fan is spinning the right way and working fine but have i over seen some thing, is there a censor ive to bypass or ive upset?

Re: f4i fan problem

asuming this only started when you wired the fan direct to the battery, take the feed wire for the fan off the battery and bridge it into the ign fuse in the fuse box, the reason for this is the load being drawn by the fan direct from the battery fluctuates quite a bit ( if you put an amp meter on it you will see) this will make the voltage regulator work eratically the ecu on the bike will detect this and some ecu's will momenterilly shut down giving a stalling effect.
