Amour??????

Ok guys, i need some more advice.

What sort of amour do you guys wear (elbow, knees, back protector etc)

I dont really want to learn to stunt in my new 1 piece but want good protection. (that reminds me I have a Brand new unworn set of BKS Silverstone 1 piece leathers in black and white Size 40, I paid £599 for them and also BKS matching gloves which i paid £140 for. I will list them in a new thread)

oh yeah, also what gloves to you wear too coz i cant see in any pics, hunters look good

Re: Amour??????

i use this motorcross of mountain bike gloves, get a better feel of the controlls

get a one piece armour top, most bike shops will sell them, there like a long sleve net top which has elbow, shoulder, chest and back protector built in

knee pads if ya like, i do find they restrict me a fair bit tho

Re: Amour??????

can get a lot of random sizes, and also most are adjustable so once you have the top on you can adjust the armour to the right place

Re: Amour??????

I cant ride with anythin more then jeans, t-shirt, helmet and gloves.

I've tried knee pads and elbow pads and that, but they just get in the way for me

I wear dainese armour, a lid, footy shin pads and gloves. (with carbon knuckles and have no issues or broken knuckles)

One way of working out what armour you need it go ride without any and see which bits of you break or bruise.

Tbf I'm pretty bulletproof. I wasn't wearing any armour at the pod practice day last year and i crashed bad (ask toby) and just came away with a sore ****.

(for those un-educated in humour, i know I'm not bulletproof)

I'm bullet proof for real (and I think you might be too)...

but only if they aren't fired from a gun or hurled at great speed by an olympic javilinist.

I held a bullet in my hand once, and I didn't even bleed!!!

Re: Amour??????

I wear a knox armour top with hoody over it, draggin jeans with knox knee armour underneath and motorbike boots and motocross gloves. Im just starting out so i want to be protected.

I like this set up as it doesnt stand out cus i just look like someone in a hoody and jeans.

With regards to insurance i found it best to not tell them anything about the mods because when i did, know one had a clue what to do. Just tell them the bike make, model and year.

Good luck
