hi
To small of an engine and no stunt stuff available. also if it has a single sider your limited to sprocket size.
Buy and old blade or 600 gsxr/zx etc or even a cd500 or gs500 to get you started.

Why is the engine to small? Tommy who rides with us stunts a CG125 and is doing really wellTalon will make you a sprocket for it

Why not get a CB500... Insurance will be cheaper than a 400 sports bike, and they are proven, just look at the french. They have bottom end power, unlike a revvvvvvy 400!

Hansky. That engine step up on a vfr400 is for speed /power and high lift cams etc make it a week /jutless at the botton end as they are made to rev 30lb at 10k. A cj 125 or and small cc 4 stroke only has a rev range of say7k rpm and a tourque peak at 2-3k which on a light small bike is ok for comuting or mat be stunting.
And a "wet" v engine will oil fill the back two

Re: hey anyone stunted a vfr 400?
There was a guy up the ace years ago at one of the streetfighter days stunting on a VFR400. Trouble is, Like my old bros, I found stoppies hard cos of the weight of the single sider. Do like joe says, get a CB500!!

vee twins and fours by design make strong power at low rev's. don't give up the day job too soon oh and don't talk about power curves on a cg it has to be reved flat out to do everything but if you want a cheap simple bike to start with cb500 is prob the way to go.

Re: hey anyone stunted a vfr 400?
err v4 honda 400's have massive low down torque for their capacity they also have a baffled sump, double stacked oil control rings. I have had quite a few of these apart and they are a good engine. Single side arm not much of a prob to modify, as for fueling it would be no worse than any other carbed bike. A stock 636 is ****** gutless untill its been geared up.

Re: hey anyone stunted a vfr 400?
Yes true a lot of inline fours do req a lot of revving to make them go but they are geared to reach 130/140 mph and to keep the speed up the have to hold a lot of rev's, if you brought the gearing of an nc30 down to the ratio of a stock cb 500 and forsake 35 mph which do you think will have the most torque and drivability thru the rev range? In general as long as you can get a gearing ratio ur happy with to suit what u want to do you could stunt nearly anything well i couldn't but hansky solo could
