New into stunt riding but not new into bikes.had my fair share started with motorcross as a kid up to last year also had an r6 for two months(new job needed a car)along with some silly tuned scooters when I turned 16.

So am on the search for a cheap begginers bike but also concentrating on drifting with my skyline.

Seeing Ghostie at lydd last bank holiday and arena last weekend(also on driftworks.com) made me get some of the old stunt ragz DVDs out and decided I Want to give it a go.

Hi, i did a show a few years back at Lydd, they had some drifters there then. small track tho.

Lets see some pic's.

 

They've cancelled lydd for drifting pemantly.cars in a sorry state and being refurbed at present so will sort some pics out soon.

Any opinions on the ideal begginers bike.been offerd a zxr400 on a 51 plate would his have Enough power or am I needing to look bigger??

 

Look for a fuel injected 600 if you can, 636 cbr 600or somethin like that. There are a few bikes on here for sale at the min, but not dead cheap tho.

Will keep an eye on that then could be a cheap r6

Why cant you use Lydd?? if i remember right there is naff all about, so noise is ok right??

 

Arsehole neighbours complaining about noise polution.even tho it's a go kart track has an airport a mileaway and shooting range round the corner.

Aparantly you can hear drift cars from space !!!!!

 

Any sport that under 25yr olds would like is always a no no. unless its that **** game "football". then drinking is a big part of it followed by fighting. Thats ok tho.

Never seen a punch up between fans at a stunt comp, or drift comp or freestyle motorcross have you???

 

Never.all said sports are so layed back.slot of comradary.
Last lydden hill one of the championship drivers blew his engine so another driver lent him his car and it was a proper specd car to.

No sport can compare,you turn up mates you stay mates thru out and you leave mates

last time we were at lydd it was like a smoke bomb factory caught fire, apparently an ambulance was called out for someone who had a very bad astma attack, that and the noise was enough to close the drifting side of things down for good.
The carting, mx, sm days will still be on and phill the owner will still let you use the track for stunt riding but no more drift cars

 

thats how we are (mostly) apart from hansky who throws spaners in peoples engins on comp day
