Right boys and girls the first round of the 2009 uk stunt championship starts next sunday at elvington airfield, the comp is being held in conjuncton with straightliners/200m.p.h. club, and subaru pro drive, so there will be plenty of spectators for you to impress.
you will be able to camp overnight if you wish there are toilets on site but its an airfield so dont expect too much, there is a really good pub just down the road where we shall be on sat night, if you do camp at the venue there is a blanket ban on all bikes being started or ridden between 5 pm and 10.30 am anyone who cant adhere to this will stop the event before its started.
we have trophys supplied by the stuntbike store and we also have cash prizes for the top 3 freestyle riders plus the winner of the last man standing. there will be a panel of three judges and i am pleased to say big mark is on the panel with myself and a third judge tba.
There is a £10 admission charge to enter the venue and an additional £5 for any body who wants to ride whether competing or not, all riders will need to sign on and get a wristband before they can ride this will be done in the paddock area there is some criteria you will have to meet to ride
1. crash helmet ,gloves
2. spine protector this can be worn seperatly or within a jacket
3. elbow/ knee pads if you wear shorts and tee shirt
4. no practicing in the paddock stunt bikes or pit bikes
if you fail to meet these rules sorry you won't ride.
format 9.30 onwards sign on 10.30 - 12.30 open practice 12.45 onwards 3 min qualifing runs running order drawn out of a hat. 3.00 final runs for the top five 4 mins 4.20 last man standing 4.50 prizes and trophy's there will be more open practice sessions between all features so there will be enough riding for everyone. so all the best u.k. stunters are gonna be there make sure you are too.

yes we are going to set up a seperate area for less exp riders which will also double as pre stage for qual runs. You only pay for the sunday so its £10 + £5 to ride all of the £5 collected go into the prize fund.

dave mate, ive got a plan, were gonna tie each or your arms and legs to the back of a bike and ride off, see if we can stretch you a bit so you fit ya bike properly

 

um, blanket ban on bikes after 5pm, does that mean if we get there before 5pm on the sat we can ride for a bit ?

No riding on sat atall as far as i know.

 

That wont happen, it'll be the same for everyone in last man standing. you cant really practise for that.

 

Should be a great comp people, Mattie Griffin is doing it to so we can see how we all fair against him gutted its only a 1 dayer but its the same for everyone i suppose

 

Please dont ride on saturday there as it will mess up every thing dave and Trevor are working for. Its the neighbours they will moan at some one opening a coke can out of spite even though the air field was there before them
I have a old air field near me and |I asked if I could pratice there and the guy that runs it would let me but the local would mone ( they complained about people flying kites)

Looks like theres a spot off the big roundabout off the A166 , Murton Lane/ Fryors close.

 

Its a long way to go for some for the one day,but theres not that many comps and get togethers this year so lets make the most of them people!
Will be good to see the differance in quality between Mattie and the rest!!
