need better breaks, what ones ?
just had all the caliper cleaned and all the seals replaced to try and get the breaks on my 2002 zx6r a bit better, but bottom line is there still ****,
there the standard 6 pot calipers, and on standard forks, not upside down ones,
i would like to swap the whole front end to a newer model and have radial breaks, but cant afford that, as im guessing i would neet to change the forks, yokes, maybe the wheel, get callipers etc etc, which would take a while to get all the bits and prob cost a firtune, unless someone has the whole lot in one bundle and selling it all cheap
so am thinking of just changing the calipers, are there any that are better that the ones on there that will swap straight over ?
if not im gonna have to look at getting brackets made up to hold diff calipers

Re: need better breaks, what ones ?
baided lines, the lines and everything are fine, just the calipers are ****, same ones as i had on my gixer and they were **** on that too, everyone ive ever known who had had theese calipers (as they were quite common a few years back) has had probs and said they are just **** ones
the 4 potts on my older blade are still 100000 times better

Re: need better breaks, what ones ?
if yours is the 2002 then it is the a1p right. The b1h and c1h/c6f just swap straight over but if you want just the radial calipers off a b1 c1 model i have some that i would sell for not too much. or if you could get a front wheel that will fit my b1h i would swap.
The b1h c1h models run hh (sintered pads) as standard in the front mine dont take any time to warm at all staright away the grip is there and it takes like 30 mins of stoppie practice to get any fade better heat dissplacement but i have got bigger discs aswell.
let me know if you wanna do a deal oh and have the master to go with the calipers aswell
