Hand brakes

I've just bought a bike with a hand brake which it situated below the clutch.

On my fiddy the rear brake has to go above the clutch cos it just wont fit the other way around.

Is there a standard here or is it personal choice..

do some have it above and some below

Re: Hand brakes

seen as nobody else has replied, i recon its down to preference.

if youve been riding brake over clutch its going to be Very hard to get used to.

But i haven't even got a handbrake yet

Re: Hand brakes

They tend to chop the clutch down to one finger so its out of the way.

I don't think id like that for road riding

Re: Hand brakes

you really kind of need to be only using one finger though, one on the clutch one on the break and the rest to hold on to the bar.. cut down the clutch lever and get an ez pull for it...
