It's not that i never want to go, I enjoy meeting up and riding with everyone, getting drunk and taking the ****. I just want them to put as much effourt into the weekend for us as we put into riding for the UK stunt scean.

As much as it would kill me to NOT go, i think i'm gona think long and hard about the next one. The straightliners are good guys, i just dont think they get us at the min. And maybe this could be the wake up they need. I mean where else could EVERY stunt rider in the UK meet up and ride with loud cans and no worries about police or having first aiders on hand??

Pro's and con's for both sides, but i'm seeing far more cons at the min

 

yer i gotta say to. trevor and the rest of the straightliners are good people. they always come up and make us welcome. and think they do there best. it was just that fat guy that messed things up. we need to talk to the straightliners and sort something out cus these weekends are good. ........dont know what the **** sparks is going on about........ i think they would be up for doing something if we talked to em.

 

So why hasn't anyone talked to them then rather than complaining after every event?!?!

I'm not saying boycot the whole event, just you lot obviously are so unhappy with how its run, if you dont go then they have no choice but to improve everything for the next event then things will get better... all the time you just go along without doing/saying anything then they think they are doing a good job and nothing will get better.

im not having a go at straightliners, just saying if you want something done then why hasnt anyone spoken to them ?? if someone has, then they obviously arent bothered about putting on a good event if still nothing has changed

god i have this whole problem at my work, everyones got a complaint to make but no one seems to be brave enough to tell the boss!

I want nothing more than to hear good reviews then i might just make the 8 + hour round trip to go... but all I've heard from numerous people is how crap it is maybe I'm speaking to the wrong people, but this is a thread saying how **** the competiton was, is it not? so why am I now being attacked for saying something should be done? im confused

we didnt say this. straightliners events SUCK. your the 1 saying it and you have never been to 1. they are good events. and awsome to meet new faces. and ride with your mates. it just needs the fat guy to be ditched. and a few alterations.

 

Well I hope straightliners sort it out and the next comp is a big improvement.

The judging was poor in that you can win the freestyle section clearly!!!!

And still get placed outside the top three
That is wrong.simple
I would value the freestyle run as being the most important part by far.
My opinion but I wasn't the judge.
I want to learn the skills over anything else so I value them most!
I know hes a friend so i'm bias,but a every good rider won the event with a very good run that anyone in the country would have to be in top form to beat!
They need a freestyle judge and more thought about the stunt area and yes dave and sparks we need to do something about it.

 

It might be an idea to get trevor on stuntlife so we can talk to him before the next one, what do ya think ?

I think the top three needs to be overlooked! mainly second place. The scottish lad is a ******* good rider, and his bikes are sick! But i think Hanksy and vandal done a much better job in the freestyle.
I liked in the compulserie bit when Kevyn smashed the railing on a borrowed bike, TWICE, you the man!:YEAH

As for me and Dave....
Who else can run quarter mile, on the spur of the moment (just eaten pizza, no warming up) , drunk, collapse half way, have a convo with the only 2 spectators, (dave was speaking to a cardboard cut out of lenny henry) in an amazing 1 min 14 seconds. While filming it.

Then have an argument wondering if the black dude in high vis was a cardboard cut out or human. Running back, and ripping him down off the chain link fence (left rubber duck, and legs still attached to fence) and bringing him back to SFD for proof off winner.

oh and as Johnny, My evil twin said, the guy running it (sean) i believe, seemed like a decent guy. Maybe we should talk to him? or is he just the straightliners guy for santa pod.
