Your learning BP the hard way i'm sure.
I'd say you should do a normal slow ish speed wheelie, then push it higher and higher each time, till your bike idles before you catch it on the brake.
Smarter than launching it up at a standstill and falling oversideways

Everyone gives different advice CSL, i recon it must be down to preferance
please don't take this the wrong way, but im not changing anymore cos it just sets me back. Ive learnt to use the back brake with your method, now i want to control it more at bp using the slow foot down method, then im moving onto staggered.

Re: ant...'s spot sunday 22nd?
i learnt bp clutching it up from standstill. (but feet up)
I would never recommend clutching up to learn from anything more than 5mph (this is the advice i was given from day one). Faster you go, yourll just pow pow it, and itll hurt more.
Think a few people learnt bp/handbrake the way ant has said.

Its was you and someone else who suggested it a couple of weeks back, i thought about it and i recon this is the next stage after learning foot brake.
Everyone suggests some thing different hey im not changing though, i think its just a matter of having the ***** and practice now
