First - Sorry for turning this thread into "ants rear brake probs"

you can't get perfect pressure AND sponginess
The brake was working perfect, excellent bite, but the pedal didn't stop dead when the rear wheel locked like it does on some bikes, you could still push further = spongyness.

are you bleeding your brakes with any fancy systems like mityvac? or with a little tube?
Using a little bleeder and I will go and look at that


Ive paid for that master cylinder repair kit now, so if that doesn't fix it I will take it to my new welder mate's garage to get looked at, im dying to know the problem.
