Re: Elvington Practice day
Ive ordered a 12bar and gearing for the bike, should be here next week.
Since i found it hard to breath 4 days after the crash ive been resting a broken rib, well its not really the rib but the cartledge connecting them, amounts to to same deal though.
So my plan is to take it slow and teach myself to use the back brake to bring the front down, so i don't flip again. Vandals got me on a zero's regime

Re: Elvington Practice day
yeah i know what you mean. was out last weekend in the rain, just tryin to teach myself staggered because when i'm sat down as soon as i can't see where i'm going i pap it and bring the front down. SO when i get staggered i should be able to go higher
good luck and heal up soon

Re: Elvington Practice day
Ive just got to get that back brake brain registered as 'The' control to use when wheelying.
birdie & carlos - If vandal offers a go on the mandon, defo do it, the first 5 seconds are scary as **** but i bet you will be surprised at how controlled it feels once balanced.

Re: Elvington Practice day
I done a couple of ribs in a month or so ago and it still hurts now!! more so if i bend down or put my arms above my head... but it takes a long time to heal!! Altho I didn't stop riding so that didn't really help the healing

Re: Elvington Practice day
True, ive got those exact symptoms, all the other bumps and bruises are gone now but the rib still feels the same everyday
I think its hard to heal because its constantly moving.
Im still riding, just don't want to put myself in a situation where their is a 99% of me getting hurt, like bp

Re: Elvington Practice day
you'll know if you broked your ribs... I done something or other to the tendons in my right shoulder in as well, lasted a week before I couldn't sleep and had to go to docs for pain killers hmm come to think of it I still have loads left ready for when I fall off next time

Re: Elvington Practice day
Mine isn't the rib exactly its the cartlidge connecting it but its still a bitch.
OFF TOPIC - Ive been fooking around with my back brake this week to try and get rid of the spongy feeling.
Replaced the line to hell braided, bought a whole sh brake system off ebay £6 and put the caliper on my bike = no change
Today I swapped the master cylinder and now i cant get pressure. So now the only thing I can think of is buying a gsxr master repair kit £22

Re: Elvington Practice day
Well i am only self taught from books, but when I replaced the brake line and the calliper I bled the brakes and got the pressure back perfect, but they were still spongy on the pedal.
Tonight a mechanic said try swapping the master cylinder and now I cant get enough pressure to close the pads.

Re: Elvington Practice day
ant, hard y=to describe, but have a look at your bike.
is the threaded bit where your pedal meets the master locked in place, it's possible to loosen one of the nuts so that you can actually move the pedal without engaging the brake, maybe that's your problem?
are you bleeding your brakes with any fancy systems like mityvac? or with a little tube?
