Thumbs down prob with gixer

as im currently ridingmy stunt bike on road for work.....it keeps blowing my low beam then bout 30mins later my high beam goes...ne 1 got some advice how to fix? have changed reg/ret now but still keeps blowing.

Has it got the correct fuse in the fusebox? If it's over-charging the fuse should go before the lamps do.... Are the lamps all fitted up properly in the rubber mounts and that? Could be down to vibration maybe, get that a lot with supermotos used on the road.. but seems a bit unlikely for sports bike... don't really know without looking at it

do you toutch the glass part of the bulbs when ur fitting the new ones? you cant toutch halogen bulbs with your fingers.....

I was thinking it might be shorting out on somethin, but that wouldn't make it blow i dont think, just go dull.

Trace the wiring all the way back to check for splits or somethin it might be.

nope dont touch bulbs.....and have traced back wiring...even got a new wiring loom from flea bay and still buggering up ...

The fuse should still go before the bulbs do tbh...

Get a multimeter and see what voltage you get across the battery terminals with the ignition on, then on idle, then rev the bike up and see how much it goes up..

post those figures and we can help more.

my bike dus the same thing they keep blowing!! i thort it was to do with the preload on the shocks!!
but when i rev it the lights go rele dim!!

i dont know but they mostly /allways go when i hit potholes and bumps and come down harsh???

i should do its all blue tack and tape holding my bike together


and they go if i turn the lights on strataway when i start the bike,

its defo the bulbs that blow.... normally its the sidelights that go then left bulb then right then left high beam then right high beam...
