Re: how come's no1
apparently so....
What I want to know is why more people don't stunt mx or motards?
The only reason i wanted to stunt the gsxr was because it looks so cool being stunted with full race fairings, but most on here street fighter their bikes and don't road ride them either, 'WTF' if your gonna do that why not buy a motard like KTM's SM690?

Re: how come's no1
Because arguably its easier to stunt a motard. Also they don't look as good.
Btw when you fully stunt your bike (not just playing at it) then you'll understand why its not ideal to use them as your road bike.

Its fair to say I am just learning or playing as you put it, and i do understand its better to take your fairings off when your pushing your boundries and its quicker to do repairs. But don't you feel like putting the fairings back on or do you save them for the comps?

Re: how come's no1
That wasn't meant at you specifically, but when your bike becomes a proper stunter you won't like riding it on the roads. Especially if you gear it big like most on here do.
I took my upper off because I smashed it when i flipped a stoppie, and replacements aren't cheap. I may eventually go fully faired, but for the time being its easier/cheaper for me to run SF.

True, its all down to cost really, i must admit i havent got the funds to replace any of my fairings if they break.
Id practice circle burnouts every day if i could afford a spare wheel and used tyres.
Watching Christian Phiffer on his BMW and Craig Jones on his Buell just isn't the same as Full Fairing Jap bikes, but they can look like peices of **** in sf mode, especially my gsxr.

Re: how come's no1
Wouldnt like to ride my bike on 60 tooth rear sprocket, and 15 psi, all the way to practice, then snap a clip on, and have to ride all the way back.
So thats why id always trailor or van my bike to practice.
Also, SF is good, as most people start with fairings, but they get broken, and as Dave said, they arent cheap to replace. Plus finding one on e-bay is hard, and if you do find one, most people on this forum are all bidding for it, and it ends up going way over 100 pounds. Plus the headlights are over a hundred, then you have to buy a mount, and a screem. So it ends up being £250+ just for that... Then if your sides are shitty........... (just have to remind, my fairing cost me £6.51 for everything )
Also, back on topic.
Not a thousand, because of power, and weight. With a 60 tooth sprocket a 1000 is horrible and dangerous to ride lol. And if your doing 5mph wheelies, why on earth would you need a 1000?

Re: how come's no1
Personally I'm thinking 600's are better because they are more forgiving, also personally back on topic I would use my road ride as a stunter but only if it was something cheap and my spot was local enough for me to ride back from.
