Re: how come's no1

hey guys im an aussie.lol
i stunted an 01 r1 full fairing big gears cage and a 12 bar full rego 4 a while.
when i got to my 3rd headlight unit i said enuf is enuf.
also we got big long roads over hear and it suks screamin around i top gear and if you went up the mountain for a beer the cage would scrape on corners and all round it was a pain in the ***.
the cop cars round here haul serious *** you dont stand a chance on a set up stunt bike.
i ditched all the stunt gear xcept i geared it down a little from stock (-1 +4)
and it is still awsome for wheelies and can mix with the best on mountain corners.
i got myself a 02 f4i and fully stunted it out and ive never looked back.
stuff that had me shittin briks on the r1 are a walk in the park on the 600 hundred. lucky tho i have a legal ride spot to ride it dont need rego.
some litre bikes arnt to bad but go a 600 so much nicer and enloyable.
hows the UK this time of year?

Re: how come's no1

UK's getting warmer but its never as good as Oz IME, although from memory your roads aren't the best out there, but thats probably just the citys.

If i could afford it i would have two bikes, one road legal and one for pure stunt. Thing is i like to mix the two.

Back to 600 v 1000 debate - Most riders choose the jap bikes for cost and performance, plus they have all the accessories.
But would a v-twin (ducatti) sports bike make a good stunt engine?, they seem to have great low end grunt and controlability, not that ive ever rode one.

Re: how come's no1

Pfeiffer managed it on a monster. But then again if his engine went pop Ducati send him one in the post, so it could be a very expensive decision.

You mean Ruff Ryders?

And a V-twin gets starved of oil, and the front cylinder goes Ka-blewey

Re: how come's no1

If im not mistaken, with a couple of engine mount mods the 750cc engine fits in our GSXR's, would the extra torque/same weight help with the stuntin or would it be too scary? just curious

Yeah, thats why i put 'just curious'

So 750's too much torque would make the launch more unpredictable than the 600?
