Harris Clip-ons

Re: Harris Clip-ons
Good bars Carlos, you can keep switches if you put bar-ends on and pull the grips of the end of the bar and over the bar-ends about 20mm. Shave a bit off the lever brackets to save a few mm and file/saw a few more mm off the edges of the switches, that'll give you enuf room for switches.
I ziptied mine next to the clocks because I ain't got the time for all that fettling!
Turn em outwards afew degrees - that'll give you a straighter grip on the throttle (smoother control). Flipping em's great but you'll need to hack the fairing if they're turned outward too.
God, if only I could ride as well as I can set a bike up!

Re: Harris Clip-ons
about £55 including postage
The bar is about 300mm long, so hoping everything will fit.
Not ready for a HB yet, but wanna get it set up right so it's an easy install when i do.
Plus i've found a guy who can make longer replacement bars if neccessary.
Send me a pm if anyone wants his details

Re: Harris Clip-ons
I run my clutch on the inside of the handbrake (so handbrake is last thing on the bar...) because then you have more leverage on the handbrake lever.... makes it easier to pull.
I'm just fitting some Harris clip ons to my cbr (ghosties old ones), i'll take a picture for ya when they are on so you can see how much room you got to work with, altho I'm not using them at full length as they are stupidly long!

Cheers Craig when you putting them on?
Just wanna get everything located right so that when i do eventually put a hb on i'm not getting used to a whole new set up

Right, got them on now... I've ran them under the top yoke, not sure if it's going to stay this way but you get the idea...
Got the switchgear all on and plenty of room with the handbrake and clutch, its set up really nice now, can't wait to ride with it, just hope I like them and yes they are even, pic looks like one longer than other but they are both the same
