bike problems!!!!

Ok....... Got some problems with my bike, just after advice now!

1. Just fitted a standard pipe to my bike, it runs fine for faster stuff, but its very bad for idle tricks, stalls out after half a circle. It has been set up for a straight through pipe, (so its overfuelling now).
Would i be better off taking it to a rolling road to be set up? Whats the estimate for this? or buying a set of carbs off ebay already set for standard pipe?
Also my throttle position sensor wires have been chopped, but ive read they do this when they set it up for a pipe? So fitting standard carbs for the pipe, would i then need to get another loom for the throttle position sensor? or would it be ok without it?

2. My bike is overheating really badly! since fitting my fairings the bike gets hot quick, last week i put it down to the weather and the fact i was doing lots of long static burnouts, but today it was much cooler and i wasnt revving the bike hard. My fan is working, and i have water in my radiator.
Went to turn it off, and then came the steam

3. After charging my new*ish* battery as last week it went flat mid riding, it went flat again this week? Would this definatly be my regulator recitifier? Just like to check as they are alot more expencive than i imagined.
Gonna have a few weeks off riding maybe till i get this sorted Now where did i throw my fiddy

Thanks for the help:YEAH

Re: bike problems!!!!

Sounds like your reg/rec isn't charging the battery... stick a multimeter across the battery terminals on idle and with the revs up and see what it's getting...

Cheapest option is to replace the carbs cos you'll prob get a set for 2p. I have no idea if the TPS is needed or not I'd imagine so though?

AS for the overheating, you got COOLANT in your rad or just water? I had the same problems with water but been fine since I filled it with 100% coolant, no water .... works fine now! there's nothing wrong with just using coolant (that I know of) tis just a bit more expensive than diluting.. but a £10 halfords bottle will fill the rad twice so it's not too bad.

Static burnouts aint gonna help it mind....

Re: bike problems!!!!

Fill rad with 100% coolant then.... if everything else is working fine (fan etc) then it's prob just the static burnout practice?

Re: bike problems!!!!

Why dont you try fitting 2 fans, as I know you like them static burnouts now which heat the bike up pretty quick

Re: bike problems!!!!

Ok, for those who care,,,, (me)
My Head gasket hasnt blown, Just run it up with a CO2 tester on it, and it didnt change colour
So, what should i check next for the reason why its feeling HOT HOT HOT!?
The pipes going to rad are warm too, does this mean water is getting pumped round?

Also, i think im going to fit standard jets to my current carbs?

Re: bike problems!!!!

take the coolant lid off, take the coolant drain bolt off (its on left side of engine at the bottom) let coolant mix drain out... get a hose pipe and stick it in the radiator filler cap and let it flush out for a few mins... replace bolt then fill with 100% coolant... see if that helps. I had the exact same problems, only it done it about 2 milliseconds of any type of burnout! (remember SBF my bike kept overheating when trying donuts??) well I done the above and its been fine since.

Yeh if the hoses are hot both sides then shes pumping, my r1 overheats badly on burnouts and the fan is on constant but it has never over heated doing anything else.
