do you have to enter the first round to enter the second round, if that makes sense?

Re: UK Stunt Championship 2008

ive been tought a valuble lesson today, we as stunters really need to put a price on what we do or the sport really will die out, as we get shows then some newb comes in and under cuts us the event organisers are going to want everything next to nothing, well this (in my opinion) is just the same, everyone is sooooo eager to ride that they will just do it for free, this is not practice guys, someone will be making money off of this, if this carrys on, in the near future there will be no shows to ride at but instead there will be 50 comps in the uk as the event organisers dont have to pay you to ride....
Just think!

Re: UK Stunt Championship 2008

Sorry but how can we expect to get paid to enter competitions?

If there are decent prizes then I don't see the problem.. if there are no prizes/useless prizes then I can see your point. The sport will never grow if we don't let people try? it's swings and roundabouts..... we want more opportunities but shoot them down when they arise?

I don't know to much about elvington or straightliners or anything so maybe theres more to it than it seems... all I see is someone putting on a competition series...

its not about the money, these guys are focused on there OWN even... Drag raceing not stunt riding, those comp are just there to keep others amused and also bring in more PAYING crowd, how can you have 6 dates for a comp? and there is only a hadfull of people that will be attending.

You are getting exploited and loveing it, think about it we already have an awesome comp in the uk and you want to go and get used by someone who just wants u there because u are amuseing when you crash?

I love what i do and i want nothing more than for this sport to grow infact i try and help everyone as much as i can be it from bike setup to getting them cheap parts to advice, i was one of the first lot of stunters (our kind of stunting) in this country along with people like jonjon, the ex-vbsx crew and the ex-awol crew and ive seen people come and peope go and ive been used for other peoples benifit time after time and all im saying is that i think its not a good way to grow the sceen but a bad one as i think this will help it die out.

let me put it another way for you, a mars bar is nice from time to time, sit down and eat 6 king size bars and tell me you dont feel sick! now you get it?

Re: UK Stunt Championship 2008

I'm not going.

SBF all the way.

Six comps is too much, nobody will improive enough in the time between, and there really aren't that many of us to compete. And I know that only very few would it to every event.

These comps seem put on half asses to me. I wanna throw my name in with something good, so once again, SBF.

Re: UK Stunt Championship 2008

I soooooo hate polotics... I see your point Ed. I like mars bars though, I think I could manage 4 before feeling sick

I suck anyway so I doubt I'll be entering any comps this year. Riding and making vids is more fun than competitions and polotics.

Re: UK Stunt Championship 2008

lol sorry only the red pill

altho this might seem like a personal attack at trevor but belive me its not, before these so called comps he would have to PAY to have a rider turn up to one of his events but now he can have 30 riders for free at every event...... catch my drift? its all good business tactics thats all, its just like when the ace cafe had to shut down "max power night" as it was causeing too much **** with the cops but all they did was call it "performance car night" and it was back on again
