I don't know really, it looks fairly basic and old, one single bar that goes straight down and under the fairing. its a common type.

Re: Crash cage colour?
If you want to spend £60 on powdercoating then you're either a) very rich or b) very very good stunt rider and don't crash much...
If you're neither of above just shove it on, you'll only crash anyway and wreck the new paint...
go to Wickes and get some "direct to metal paint" its cheap and can spray straight on, will make it look better and you'll still have half a tin left for touch ups..
just my anyway thres better stunt things to spend £60 on whilst still learning.

Re: Crash cage colour?
the £60 does cover sand blasting, I thought that was cheap.
im just getting into stunting and ive never crashed, just 6 months riding experience so im taking it slowly till I get my bike protected.
I just can't put that rusty pig iron on my nice shinny GSXR, and Yes I know thats not how you guys roll, but...
Thanks for the Wickes tip, ive got a seat cowl to paint too.
Dont laugh at my dog!
-Pez: I was thinking White, or Navy Blue, like the nose, could even do bright orange like 'R'?

In that case, I'd just go to wickes get that paint and some sand paper... give it a good sanding to make it smooth then spray it all up.. you will fall off lots when you get better (i.e start slow/scraping etc) so its not worth spending the money on.. you can make it look good with the £5 tin of paint and sandpaper... and when it gets scuffed up you can just sand it and paint over again
Just a thought anyway to save you some cash

Think the direct to metal paint only comes in Black or gunmetal gray, id say black.... hides scuffs and scratches better than white too.... its a crash cage at the end of the day, its never gonna look pretty
To be honest mate I think the dog looks fine in black, he'd look silly in bright orange or navy blue! might look okay in white though!

Black, looks more subtle.
I'm guessing you have the FI cage, so say goodbye to your nose cone when you start crashing.
Oh and your bike is too nice to stunt, take the good panels off and buy some ******** from ebay, you'll thank yourself in the long run. its not about looks when you're learning.

Re: Crash cage colour?
£2.5k for the GSXR and road legal bikes don't come much cheaper than that, so im torn between wanting to stunt and enjoying my shinny bike.
If I buy a scrapper it still needs insurance etc, so at the moment im half hartedly getting into it.
I feel like the 'odd one out' wanting to stunt in manchester anyway.

it is your old fi cage dave ant mat black the cage, put it on crash, crash again, again and again then in about a year or longer when you start riding real good and you want to look how you ride then get a scrape works or sick "inavatoins" cage.

Hey Ant i would take the body work off while ya learning. Your gonna smash it for sure !!!! I love the ff look but when ya learning not good. Thats why tee rex and me dont have any body work. We come off to much .
I would go satin black. Ya can touch it up easily plus it will match ya dog

Carlos: I think its K3 bodywork on my K1, its been scrapped on the left side. Love your cage, it looks more substantial too.
Think I will keep my GSXR intact and road legal for now, just cos I don't do as much stunting as id like.
Im hopeing one day i will find some stunt buddies to practice with but until then im not that committed doing it on my tod. Boo Hoo
