Circles

Okay i figured i now feel ready to take on circles, i just fancied a bit more stress and frustration in my life, Oh and a whole bunch of crashes. Anyway all went well very quickly and i was shocked as to how quick they were to pick up to a point that is. Now as long as i have somewhere the size of the M25 i am okay, i joke they are not that bad, I shout out to Lee and Glyn and Chris and anyone i have forgotten who has circles on lockdown, help me boys, how do i tighten these suckers up .

Re: Circles

They're just something that suck when learning, but when you can do them you kick yourself thinking "why did that take so long?".

I just learnt regular foot in seat, working on combos now, so the fun ebgins again...

As for tightening them up, just lean and stay on the gas. Getting on top of the bike helps too.

Watchtower?

I am also learning them, i can go tight.

Go mega slow, and take the bike past bp. thats what was helping me the most.

Also what position are you doing? Staggered, foot in bar/seat?

Re: Circles

i dont stall out much as i use the clutch also, mostly i get highsided or the bike comes back to the rail with me stood inside it, if i keep them open this is no problem but soon as i try to go real tight it goes **** up, should i use more or less idle, more or less gas, stand tall or legs bent etc, etc

Re: Circles

i use 3k rpm's, just ride at idel then turn in first and blip the throttle as the bike whips arround move your body to the out side of the circle then blip it again... 4 blips make a circle. i can get them going real tight and real fast that way..... works for me, might work for you

Re: Circles

If you're coming out of the circle on BOTH sides then it's probably a case of more practice required, and try be smoother and more subtle with ur controls. They're feeeeeeeeeeeeeeerkin hard, but if u can turn them in, u'll get there.

I have mine @ just under 3k.

- I think if u highside out of the circle then u braked too hard. If u low side then it was too much throttle (I think) Although I think it depends on some other factors too - there's lots going on!!!

Re: Circles

Just to inform you all, I can do NTH circles now.

Carry on.

Yorkie: They're such a ****** to get, one day you just seem to click with them. I clicked with them for one day a while back and then the next week lost it. That pissed me off so bad I was ready to just give up with them, keep trying and you'll get it eventually.

Not all of us are like Ed and Joe and seem to learn them in a week.
