Re: so...
Have no idea of the results but it was good.
The area to stunt in was six times bigger than at the SBF and the so called "power rangers" were good guys as well they were having a good time doing 130 mph + wheelies over 1Km with 11mph+ side winds:YEAH
The main man was shocked to see what the riders could do even with out a beer gut .

Re: so...
Here it is..
There were 15 starters mostly from here with about 4 (?) other guys.
They cut the field in half following Saturdays compulsaries (sit down wheelie, stoppie, donuts) and 3min freestyle.
7 qualified - to a 4 min final freestyle on the Sunday
Billy
NAS
Vandal
Nick Storm
Sparky
Andrew
Ludo
Results:
1st - Sparky [part of run was 2up with Alstar]
2nd - Andrew … -Scottish guy who was at VBSX stutfest 05. [part of run was 2 up with his buddy]
3rd - Nick Storm - yey got some silverware
after that no points were called out.
We found out on the day that the winner "possibly" gets to do some shows for them. I'm slowly realising that the showmanship part of things does play a big part in these kinda things rather than skill alone. (not a dig at any of anyone who beat me - bastards ) ;-) Glin had a great run including knocking some awesome combo circles but somehow he was judge not to qualify (most people I spoke to were confused by this)
all in all it was a great laugh, huge spot, spectators stayed when it was free practice. Everyone was out there showin their skills to the max - BIG UP to everyone who was out there. Only proper crash I think was lucky number 13 Keith keith on a sit down scrape - but being made purely of stone he walked away with a few scrathes!!! :YEAH
We also invented a new game on Sat night - stunt pool. Every shot has to be a stunt and named by the shot taker. never thought I'd be able to do a switchback highchair at all... let alone after a load of beers

Re: so...
I had a awsome weekend. We all got to practise loads. Glyn was just amazing. HC circles awsome combos etc but as nick said glyn didnt qualify ???? Go figure ????
I agree with Nick showman ship played a big part in the judging so i think i may have to re think my run next time. My bike broke so i had to ride toddys bike in the final. I owe ya big time toddy:YEAH
I think every body was really pulling out the stops sat and sunday big up to all who rode.:YEAH Every body definatley surprised the so called pros !!!!!
In in compulsaries ludo got bored and instead of doing a long sit down slow wheelie he done nearly the whole length of the arena no handed. It was just awsome

[quote=N.Q.I.DaveRR;2955012] Everyone I spoke to had a **** hot weekend. The stunt area was huge there was enough room for everyone, even when they put on the car **** "Russ Swift" doing doughnuts and handbrakes etc all the stunt guys got left alone to practice on the other side of the car park. It will be on again next year with prize money this time due to the sucsess this year.
The power rangers may not be to everyone's liking but they appreciated what the stunt lads were doing and the high levell of skill involved. And yes doing a 130mph wheelie for over 1 km in a very strong cross wind is difficult and stunters should appreciate that too.

Re: so...
Yes i ended up going to the comp and it turned out to be a really cool weekend. I under stand a few people didnt wont to go for one reason or another but after thinking about it. It's down to me to get my self out there to the big bad world, no matter what comp or who i ride with. I do this for fun and thats what everyone there had.
We all met some new people who are really cool guys and girls, and just into the stunt side of things as anyone on this site. We even had a new lad called Andy scraping after about 3 trys:YEAH
The people running the show did there best to help us out and give us anythin we needed, and a big thanks to ash, dave and neil for judging.
And Russ Swift killed it in his cars:YEAH
Everyone thought that Glyn made it this time but not to be (still think he should flip a stoppie in his run). Well done to Nick on his 3rd place.
And as for the power rangers, well not one of them had a bad word to say, and it takes that bit more skill to wheelie at 170mph over 1k then you would think. Not to mention big ball's.
Oh and sorry for getting to drunk saturday night
