How about a team event, teams of 2 or 3 drawn out of a hat depending on how many enter same format as the sbf, it might be quite good to try and choreograph something together with people you don't normally ride with this would still get everyone together and put on a good show without detracting from the sbf individual event, don't know if anybody has spoken to jon to see how he feels about it he's probably pulling his hair out at the very thought of it

 

I agree, last thing you want is loads of stunt comps arranged by different people, it will take away the meaning and value, its would be like having two or three world cups organised by various people.

But what we can all do together, is arrange more shows, or even just get togethers where we hire a venue for a day or weekend and have fun, no contest, dont even have to have an audience, just a few of us having fun, and getting a chance to stunt/practice together legally and without hassle from police.

I know some of you have legal spots, but a lot of riders dont, they rarely get the chance to have daytime pics or video footage taken of them, which they could use for promos or sponsorship.

End of the day I think we should all come together and hold something, it could even be a monthly thing, like a StuntaQ (copyrights to Ghostie & Cooper), and I would love Jons input on it, and will discuss it with him soon.

Not that anyone would ever tell anyone else not to go but i think the general concensus was that we (uk stunters) didn't wanna be connected with it, especially after negotiations went sour. just my 2p worth, but there's been a thread about it in the uk section before

Dont mean to be rude just wondering do you stunt and if not what is in this for you. You seem to have come out of nowhere and taken up some kinda senior position in the uk stunt scene.

 

I dont have a senior position. I think you may have been slightly misinformed.

 

i would just like to say tho, no im not a stunter, but I love stunting, watching Wink and Bullo do their thing is what got me into riding in the first place, after them I discovered AWOL and 444 in the UK, and wanted to be part of the UK stunt scene.

I intend to get a F4i soon enough and get practising, as i dont want to destroy my current bike.

ive worked in sales and marketing for years and hopefully can use my skills to help advance the uk stunt scene, I have nothing to gain, simply the enjoyment of seeing stunting advance in the UK, hopefully one day it can get to the level it is in the US.

My partner Angel also loves stunting, and wants to become one of the first female stunters in the UK, and wants to be the UKs answer to Road Rash Chic!

She loves the skills of all the guys shes met recently, and admires your ability to get on a bike and do what you do, she is also very chuffed that you Toby have one of the pictures she took of you on your Go Fast sponsorship page. And has been hounding me to get some stunters to do 1 on 1 photoshoots with her.

So heres hoping we can work together in the future.

Ok dont get me wrong this is not an outright attack and I appreciate your answer. Its just that I have come up through the ranks like all the other stunters on here. I appreciate you helping out and think it would be great if you just get a bike and get stunting the more stunters the better. However your posts sometimes come accross with an air of authority.

What i think Toby is getting at is this: we have (or most of us) all bin on this site and others for a few years. Stunting when there is no place to practice. Risking everythin on roads and publice areas to acheve what we have now. So you can see why toby is doing nothink more then just asking what it is and why someone so new to the stunt world is apearing to make a name for them selfs as a organizer in a way. Now dont get me wrong i know your not trying to do that at all. And after seeing you at a few shows i can see you like this sport for real. But it can easily be taken the wrong way from someone who might not know you so well, and just seeing your posts on a web site.

I hope you understand what i'm trying to say and it does not come across the wrong way, as it very easily does on internet forums.
