pulled for no reason

anybody been pulled for just owining a stunt bike?
last night up at a bike meet had a bike copper pull up next to my bike and stare at it,he hadnt seen me do anything(lucky had just stopped)
he sat there for over half an hour just lookin at me now and again,it got to the point when i thought i had a chance to gowhen he was a bit distracted.no chance as soon as i pull away focus back on me lights siren, getting tugged.
thought id try a diffrent tatic as hadnt been seen stunting so when asked what bar sticking out of back was i said it a wheelie bar this is also used for stuntriding think it threw him a bit and he seemed to change his attiude a bit and calm down, this went back and forth for a while with various things gears, indicators, switch gear and such but long story short ended up with 14 day retification notice for a chain guard and no bobble on my brake lever, when at first it appeared he was going to throw the book at me.

also anybody in north kent be warned a black fireblade brand new going around is undercover, clocked him behaving suspiciously, wanted me to over take him i didnt take the bait followed him for a bit noticed ariel sticking out of jacket so held back, once he new i clocked him and told the others left a bit sharpish.

Re: pulled for no reason

sounds like he was psyching (?) himself up for you to be a w*nker about it. Being nice to the cops as a default helps a shed load IMO. got away with it mate, good skills

Maybe he thought your 12 bar for ram-raiding dixons

Re: pulled for no reason

Sounds like he may have been tipped off if he just sat there waiting for you to go, not everyone at a bike meet is your mate!! At least he is consistant with most of the feds he talks out of his ****, fact 1 brake lever only has to be long enough to be readily applied you definatly do not have to have a ball on the end, Fact 2 Chain gaurds are not an mot requirement if they are fitted they have to be secure, I am an mot tester and i hear this **** all the time, just get your ticket stamped most bike testers know the score. Good to meet up with at the weekend your spreaders look cool, don"t let ******* grind you down keep smilin.

yeah i cut my clutch lever down & when i took it for mot the guy was pretty hot & he looked it up in a book & said it was legal.thing is when a cop sees a bike all stunted up they dont like it,especially when they havent caught you stunting so they try & get you for anything.

Re: pulled for no reason

Ok

1. as sfd02 said (almost), you dont need a chain gaurd all the time. Only if you have pillon pegs witch you do so you will need a gaurd.

2. you dont need the ball on the end of the leaver, but has to be more then enough to work ok and no sharp edges, so file the end of it.

When i get stopped i tell them the bar is for locking my bike up at night, and the bar brake is cuz i have problems with my right foot now and then.
the tank is dented cuz i dropped a tin of paint on it in the shed.

Re: pulled for no reason

Another thing i get alot is "it looks a bit of a mess son" well so ******* what??
I dont clean it much and fall off alot, as long as my tyres are good, the bike is in working order and i'm insured and tax'd, what the **** does it matter if its a mess??

Dam i hate the police sometimes.......... wait, no all the time.

I cant remeber when they ever did anything to help me when some drove into me, or stole something out of my gardon. The thick ***** grabed a lad red handed scratching peoples cars in my road and didnt do a thing. there was around 25 cars scratched and they let him go

Re: pulled for no reason

couple of months ago me and vandal34 were at our spot on a thursday night happily playin around when i noticed a big 4WD pig car coming up the track towards us we both stopped what we were doing to see what they were doing, they looked at us we looked at them, "what the **** do you think they want i said to vandal" "dunno" he said "what shall we do now i said" vandal said " i know lets show them some wheelies " so we did just that, they did not seem to be overly happy and if we had been in spiting distance of a public road i think we both would have a little vacation at HMP, since then they have been back a few times and you know the first time they see us on the road it will be payback, The morale of this story is don't let your mate (vandal34) talk you in to antagonising the pigs, however the look on their faces was ******* priceless!!!!!!

I get this ALLLLLLLLLL the time from people, not the cops but just people in general.

"OMG you must have crashed well bad to dent your tank like that"

so im like

"Yeah I binned it and the tank got dented perfectly then when I put it back in the garage all smashed up, a tin of P38 filler fell off which smoothed it out then the sand paper fell and made it smooth then a spray can of black paint fell off the same shelf and sprayed the area perfectly, followed by some pinstripe that happened to fall around the edges of the paint line... and then I put a sticker on it to try and cover it all up "

fukin numb nuts!! its pretty obvious it isn't crash damage!!!

Re: pulled for no reason

Cops bang me because i'm on a scooter lol.
With no switchgear, or speedo atm.
Or generally anything.
They see stunted bikes as an easy target.

Oh lee, i also get the "bikes a bit of a state isn't it" talk aswell.
I just say to them, well u wanna buy me some new fairings mate?
My theory is.
Second you blow your cash doing it up, you'll drop it a week later.

they know they cant touch me at my spot but it did not stop em running over my vid cam....which was on the floor near their car......... gutted

i am up for appeal at the end of this year and as i have not ridden on the road i should be in for a reduction in my ban... so i am saying nothing bad

Re: pulled for no reason

The next time the feds come down our spot im gonna park my bike in the drive way going down there and block them in. I wanna ask them if they have permission to go down there as its private property. Surely they must be tresspassing??? To be honest if they wanted to come watch and say hello i woulndt really be bothered. But feds being feds they wont stop and talk to me. They just give me the glare and drive off.
Mind you they prob wont stop as they have seen the size of SFD2 (Dave) I still say him and keith keith are long lost brothers

Wot u need to bear in mind is that VOSA (mot) rules bear little resemblence to CONSTRUCTION & USE LAW which the popo have to enforce. its a minefield of contradiction.
