You need to drop the last word to perfect though... Like you guys drop the last word of a road name!?!?!? I have an American housemate and she confuses everyone when giving directions:

"You go down hills, then turn on to Hills.."
I keep keep telling her it's Hills ROAD and Hills AVENUE... I dunno,
It's all foreign to me

 

well if you are leaving from a known destination then there should only be one "hills" on the way there and to specify road or lane shouldn't be needed

unless you are passing hills lane on your way to hills road then of course it should be specified
