Caught doing a wheelie!

Yep, was BEHIND a copa, me AND my mate were both on Green bikes, I pulled a wheelie, brought it down, took the outside lane where the copa was on the inside lane, he was turning left at the roundabout I was turning right, I stopped n looked at my mate and whilst I was doing so I saw the copa show me his badge...everyone think I'm fakkered?!

What do you all think the chances of them contacting me?! and what is the best thing to say if they do!?!?!

Re: Caught doing a wheelie!

Did he get a look at your plate??

Did he signl you to pull over??

Did you do a runner??

If any of them are true, you could get anything from a good telling off, to a 2-3 year ban. There is no real way of telling. But the chances are, if its bin a few hours and no one has bin to nick you, i'd say you got away with it. If thats true, make this a lesson

p.s. was it a good wheelie??

It was the closest I've ever had to BP so I was quite pleased with it!

Well, if he was on duty, and you did a runner he could miff you.
If he was off duty and didn't stop you, he won't do anything!

be more careful next time

I was stopped for AGES just in shock and kicking myself feeling sick, the cop went left and my mate was going "GO RIGHT...GO!!!!...GO RIGHT BEFORE HE TURNS AROUND!" but I was too shocked about how stupid I was I just stayed there until I couldn't see the cop!

Re: Caught doing a wheelie!

So what happened was:

You wheelied behind him.
Pulled up near him, where he flashed his badge and drove off.
You stood there in a panic, and eventually left.
At no point were you pulled over where he got out of his car and talked to you.
That about right? :S

If he didn't pull you over, you'll be okay if nobody's knocked on your door yet. If he did pull you over and din't charge you, you're good.

Re: Caught doing a wheelie!

stop being daft and just dont do it on the streets cos you will prob really hurt yourself or like me get a ban and 200 hours community service (for two standard sit down wheelies!)... just my opinion im entitled to it... im half way through a 3 year ban (hopefully get my license back at end of year after appeal as iv not been on the road at all) but i still manage to stunt off the road 3-4 times per week... and i enjoy it more... i do understand that it is exciting doing it on road and i will prob get slagged off by everyone but i can do all the fast seat stander stuff in second... and change through the box on back wheel so iv lost no skill only gained from doing it slower....

If you find a good legal spot you wont have to look over your shoulder either and can fully concentrate on being a nutter!!!!

ps i'm really bitter about my license being lost..... can you tell ha ha

be safe cheers Glyn

Re: Caught doing a wheelie!

I got a court appearance and 500 quid fine and 6points. they had me and my mate on video. but they did catch us off the bike.

I would say you will be fine as they cant prove it was you unless they pull you over and get you to take you lid off !

Re: Caught doing a wheelie!

Ha Ha, good laugh, i know the sinking feeling you felt, i got pulled for 'speeding',

O: Do you know what speed you were doing?
C: No officer i do not?
O: You must have been doing at least 60mph
C: Really? I hadn't realised
O: I'll just check your plates
(everything came back fine)
O: I could book you but i won't, take it easy on your way home
C: Thank you and good night

But it still makes me feel sick thinking of it

I think the cop that did me was off duty and couldn't do ****, but it doesn't take much for him to call up one of his buddies. a policemans word is admissable evidence if i'm not mistaken?

Keep your fingers crossed nothing comes of it, and keep your cool on the road, not a good idea behind a car, you never know if they're gonna stop in front of you.

Bet it looked cool though :YEAH

Re: Caught doing a wheelie!

If its just you and the SINGLE policeman, and they have no proof that you did it (photos etc)then even if they take you to court, it'll get thrown out. They wan't you to admit it so they can do you.

Off duty police shouldn't really pull you over.

Re: Caught doing a wheelie!

ok, if i told you all the chases and getting stopped and done, and even let off for wheelies, i'd be here all day lol

But one thing i know for sure is this, Even if the turn up at your door and you say prove it was me, thats not the case. You would have to prove it WASN'T you. And if you cant, then they do you for it anyway as your or the owner and keep of the bike that was seen wheeling.

As much as i dont wona say it, but Billy is right . Ride with no plate and dont stop if wheeling on the road is what you are going to do.
i no longer ride on the road at all. I'm looking for another road bike but i wont stunt if on the road. I like lane bashing and this will be the sunday bike.
I drive for a living so its more then just a hobby for me, its a living and i cant aford to lose my GOFAST pass

Re: Caught doing a wheelie!

if you stunt on the road its only a matter of time b4 you loose your licence for a few years,i only stunt fiddys now as you can always find a little spot to stunt & i dont get no hassle, ive progressed more on my fiddy than i ever did on my gsxr,my gsxr is my road bike now as i missed fast road riding too much.
if ever i find a legal spot i will get another stunt bike for sure.
