Re: tank filler

I slapped mine straight on and sanded it smooth. Looks alright I suppose, and it hasn't cracked yet.

Re: tank filler

For best efect you need to sand it all down first

Don't worry, you'll be doing LOTS of sanding after you put the P38 on anyways

Oh and by the way, put thiner layers on and work it into the shape you want and smooth it etc as you go along rather than dumping **** loads of p38 at once.... and you'll be doing lots of sanding then more p38 sanding more p38 sanding more p38 if you want a smooth finish.

Halfords do some filler paint that might fill in the last few cracks and holes if you want a REALLY good finish.

also, after you paint it, don't bother lacquering it.....paint wont look as good but it wont be as slippy.

OR.. lacquer it for nice paint finish then put grip tape on.

good luck, pm me if you need any more info.

oooo and cover the rest of your bike up with a sheet or take the tank off when you do it cos it makes a ******* big mess.

As you can see, i forgot to cover rest of it up
