Re: scrapping 12 bar

come on scotty mate you are gonna tear yourself to shreds............baby steps (its not about scrapin the bar its about slowing your wheelies down then you wont have to try... you can then do it at will!)

concentrate on throttle, clutch and brake control because that is what you need to be good to do any stunt apart from acro's

so dont go bustin yourself up..... me and nick both took six months to scrape but when we do its not an accident it is easy but you gotta learn the control first see!!!!

GO EASY OR YOU WILL DO YOURSELF HARM

Plus its more fun when all the practice comes together see!

Re: scrapping 12 bar

i could sort of see this coming after watchin you ride last weekend. dont rush it, you need to learn to be smooth on the throttle before you even try and slow them down or even think about scraping.
there's no rush, it's all about fun, and your not gona learn anythin sitting in a hospital bed

keep it safe and off the roads for now

Re: scrapping 12 bar

jeeezz why do people rush so much?

I've NEVER flipped my bike, (well, I flipped the KTM once and yes I've dropped my CBR from 12 but only stepping off after setting it on the 12 bar, not from flipping) it took me a long time to scrape, but I could wheely pretty slow and controlled and smooth before I did it and the first time I did it wasn't tooo bad..

I'm trying to rush learn a bit now, but I think its a bit different as I'm going slow so I don't really care if I fall off..

but scotty I've seen vid of you ride and you're just starting out, forget scraping, its not impressive if its uncontrolled, dangerous and most of all.. you fall off!

take it easy dude and do what Nick told me when I was rushing to 12...

LEARN TO WHEELY SLOW, TRY TO WHEELY SLOW .. scraping will come with going slow not from trying to 12.

Don't care if I sound like a dad, hypocrite or whatever... I dont wanna see anyone get hurt from rushing into the 1 thing that really takes some time and is important to learn.. when you can go slow and controlled falling off isnt too bad, but when you're starting you are (everyone is) fast and choppy and thats when it can really hurt.

Re: scrapping 12 bar

Yes I can idle wheelie now with no throttle (but can't take hand off fully yet), need a bit more refinement, bit more practice but I've pretty much got it.. riding again at weekend, gonna try no throttle hand.. prob fall off again tho but practice makes perfect

keep at what i said. and clutch and break will become one. then you wont even think about it, every time you break you'll be going for the clucth in slow wheelies without it crossing your mind.

work on them coasters and that will get you light on the break, thats all your doing wrong at the min. master that and you'll be goin for circles in a few weeks

and breath

it was a flip, and i understand what your saying about setting a target. but why not set a target to do seat stander circle's and combo's then??? cuz it's not gona happen like that, thats why.

set a target like break control, then idle then 12'in. and have a taget for a few months time to scrape.
it's all part of the same pitcher:YEAH
