Blowin Fuses!!! HELP!!!

Blowin Fuses!!! HELP!!!
Okay... it's not a huge problem, because I can still jump start the EX even after the fuse has blown... but my main concern is how often the fuse blows! I'm sure I've got a short somewhere... obviously... but I was wondering if anyone else has faced this problem? Is there a "common" area where wires get pinched? Could this be a grounding problem? Any helpful info will be appreciated. Please don't take guesses... only facts!!!

That's what I figured... a pinched wire. The fuse that's blowin is the only fuse on the quad... that I know of??? It's a 15 bus fuse located right next to the battery.
Is there a common place where wires can get pinched?

Turns out when he put the bars back on, the ignition wire got kind of pinched in there and would rub against some part on the steering stem or handlebars and it caused the wire to splice. Then when he would turn, the wire would hit the steering stem and blow the fuse.
Good luck!

Re: Blowin Fuses!!! HELP!!!
hey dude i had the same problem ...i started doing highchairs on my 04 400ex.....and every once in a while when i came down it would blow....and the neutral light would not even turn on...under the plastic cover on your handle bars is your wiring for your ignition and it is caught on the bottom of the plastic some how... this is the problem i had more than likely you do too........ its probably from you puttin it back together....and its more than likely sliced a TINY cut in your wiring and that is your problem bcuz everytime it touches metal it grounds out obviously....and by turning your handle bars or im my case ..highchair wheelies.. it causes it to move and touch.....and yes there is pretty much only ONE fuse on the bike and that is it....there is a spare fuse right next to that one in the little black holder.....thats it....the only fuses on the bike....hope that helps ya man...best bet is to take off your handle bar plastin and check all your ignition wire and neutral light wire coming down and trace it back to the fuse ...youll find the problem.....later man...

Found and fixed the problem.... if anyone else has the same issue...
I followed the two wires from the fuse holder. No more than 5inches back, one of the wires was getting pinched where all my wires come together near the battery. Taped it up and no more blown fuses.
