help with coasters
how fast are you guys doin them? Ill start coastin at the top of third and i only get about 30-40 feet. Do you wait until it the bar is close to the ground, or when it is still near the bp and just lightly tap it?

Re: help with coasters
We do ours at the Top of 5th......keep it in the Balance point, usually get like 2-300ft. If I keep the bar like 1" off the ground, I don't get near as far. Just like everything else, it just takes practice.

Re: help with coasters
I used to roll em out alright. Nothing for the record books.......
The less drag you keep on the rear brake the farther you go. When the bar gets close to the ground you're creating the most brake drag to hold yourself up in the wheelie. The more brake you use the faster you slow down. Try to stay right at BP.

Re: help with coasters
Here is a clip that was posted a while back.
Coaster Parking
The first one is a pretty good example of the right height to hold the coaster. You know you have a good one going when you are just barely touching the back brake to keep it balanced. On real good ones I can be off of the brake completely for a few seconds and still not drop the front end.
You will notice on the second coaster that I was headed for Tim's bike a little fast, so I had to let off the brake and let the grab bar get closer to the ground, then get back on the brake to slow my bike down.
This video was made more for showing that I can control coasters and drop them where I want as opposed to distance , but the first clip, like I said is a decent coaster.

No Steve. no. I was there we used good ol' fashion movie magic. That was really all a miniature scene. That was a toy quad being pulled by a string. Doing it old school
