its somethin called lack of skill.... you should be able to wheelie with out having to barely give any throttle at all.... try to find balance point instead of using all power.... its all balance point and brake control, get that down and you can go for miles, trust me i ride a blaster and i can go forever.....

Naw, I wouldn't call it a lack of skill.....Just lack of practice or wrong technique. Sounds friendlier .
You have to make sure the quad is at the balance point....every time it drops below then you have to give it more throttle to pick it back up which in turn means you will be going faster, and if you do that enough you'll run out of gear.
The faster you are going the lower the balance point is.
If you want to maintain a wheelie without running out of gear the best way is to always stay at balance point or above....you can go above balance point and let the quad "coast" a little, sometimes requiring brakes....
I'm not really sure what sort of tips will help you out exept for practice. Just sounds like you aren't getting the front end up high enough. It's all about feeling...

just practice, i do em in 1,2,3,and 4th gear... if u get good enough at riding balance point you can pull in teh clutch just a hair, thats how u can shift them while up in a wheelie, its kinda tricky unless you get pretty good at the wheelie... ive clicked up 3 gears while doin a sit down wheelie by that time ur movin pretty fast... i find it helps on the blaster to get up in a wheelie and then pull ur body up closer to the tank with ur arms so ur at balance point better... just make sure you know how to use brake controll... otherwise ur gonna eat it hard if ur movin fast....
ps. if u didnt know it helps to take the air outa the tires a little... make sure they are even tho cuz otherwise you'll coast to the left or right....

You should be able to shift without using the clutch. I do it all the time on my bikes. Its a must if you want to ride wheelies long. Just when you run outta gear, let off a lil bit and click up. I can ride for miles. On my Warrior I can pull up (without the clutch) in first and I can ride all the way thru sixth. Just takes practice

Keep a little pressure on the shifter with your toe. Get the quad a little over the ballance point. When you let off it you keep pressure on the shifter and it will pop right in. Then you can get on the gas again and do the same thing in the next gear.

Well it should. I ride my friends Blaster all the time. Its liek a second bike to me. It pops right up. I think you arent tryinnough. Just nail it and pull up. Make sure you are almost in the powerband then nail it and once it starts to come up3/4 of the way shift.

Not a must to ride long wheelies!!!! If you want long wheelies get TO the balance point and you will never have to shift or run out of gear!! 50's, quads, or bikes. I can ride my bike for miles w/o shifting. Also on the quad. Thier is no need to shift!!!!!!!!! Only reason you should shift is if you want to go faster bring the wheelie down some speed up and shift! If you ARE at balance point you will not need to shift in any gear!! Just don't want you to get the wrong advice!!
