I never buy anything the first year it comes out, wait until its been out and the reviews are in from the real world before you decide.... As usual with first model year vehicles, Im sure there will be some factory defects that will come out.

just my $.02

The 400EX is a great quad that hasn't been changed in 5 years, but still competes with quads that have been changed almost every year. If you buy it you won't be wasting money.
However, if Honda built that 5 years ago, imagine what's on the way...

i really want to be the first one with the 450 since i was getting a new quad anyway but X-slayer did make a valid point. i dont wanna deal with any issues especially since i am not as mechanically inclined as some of you guys are.
i am thinking better safe than sorry. if all is good then i get in a year or two. decision day is Sept. 12 when i get all the specs on the 450.

Honda could have released a quad last year when everyone else did. They get the bugs out of their **** the first time instead.

Yeah... what he said. Honda has already race proven the CRF450 motor. Hell, Kevin Windam even smoked Carmicheal on it. So you know the motor is bug free. All I would worry about would be the chassis, and I wouldn't even worry about that too much.
