ive been on a coastin' kick on my EX. Can coast it to a dead stop & hang it there for a minute.

How far & how fast is everyone else doin' em? they are a blast.

 

on a klx400 i think id between 400 and 500 outta 4th......well say 450 for now

coasters kick *** thats all ive been doin on my street bike for the past 2 weeks

 

yeah, i just learned em on my 9 hundo. Just coasting otta 1st on that. still fun as hell.

450 feet is pretty f'n impressive! my practice spot isn't that big but im gonna head out to the street & mark it off.

 

coastin is ****in addictive...watch everytime you go to peep a new spot your gonna think about coaster material...then after you plateu in first gear youll go to second...not even wait long enough to plateu that gear and just jump to third for like two trys...then youll just be like **** IT 6TH!!!! YEAH NIIIGGGGAAAAA!!!!!

 

yea i know ive been tryin to hook up with local runways and tracks and ****, so far nothin....if you find some **** like that bro, then im road trippin it to your hood next im out there........you goin to ohio next weekend???

 

i can go pretty damn far no measurements yet.............keep up the good stuntin,,,,,,hey any of you going to star boyz event end of the month in long island

 

I don't know how far I was going on my EX, but I was doing them in 3rd and 4th all day with the motor shut down.

ok Noob question... i know what a coaster is... the ?? is are you sitting or standing???

 

Im sitting. And if i find somewhere I can coast from 5th or 6th gear, im postin' that **** up & everyone's commin' up! My spot will let me get into 3rd, then i run out of room.

Your right, that **** is Addicting as hell. I do it sitting down cause i sit WAY back & just lean back like hell so i dont burn the speed out. Keep the tail a few inches off the grab bar & let it rip.

I usually hold it on the rev limiter, i did a few where I took the key out & threw it @ my boy.

I'll get some measurements this weekend.

 

shuttin the engine off is rowdy but it will kill distance because of the drag it creates....trust me i did it on my street bike and came real close to eatin food out of a straw

becareful with the rev limiter **** too....thats a hot way to explode because of the lack of oil the engine gets.....what i like to do is turn the idle really low so that the sound of the tires rollin mutes the engine....an illusion, if you will, of the engine being off but its not get it...

im about 98% sure about the LI starboyz shizzle...im 110% about the Ohio starboyz shizzle...anyone???

 

yeah, it deff has drag when its off, but looks killer (sounds).

Merk, another down side of rolling on the rev limiter is if your finger slips off the clutch. im speaking from experience. doh.

you coasting sitting down too? I can't nearly go as far standing up

You doing sit down no handers? If so w here the hell you putting ur feet to stay on or under? I can't clench my legs hard enough to stay on. I can do no throttle sitting cause im still sitting & holding on. enough of my ranting. peace!

 

im coastin both ways standin is different but easier to stay off the brake.....i havent figured out the sit down no handers yet but ive been workin on it....i rarely get to rock 4wheelers anymore but i got some ideas for the next time i rock one..ill let you know if the **** works...you goin to ohio next weekend??

4th gear sit down just pull the clutch in, I never tried to sit standin on a 400z

Im assuming a coaster is when you cost and yoru standing on top of the tank? or seat
