my grab bar is starting to bend due to 12's has anyone replaced theirs yet and if so what brand do you recomend...my grab bar bolts directly to the frame it is part of the sub-frame i take it i would have to replace the whole thing....

i had one made out of solid steel....im pretty sure that any grab bar you buy is gonna bend because i dont think that they are mean to riddin on...i had one on my banshee that was sopposudly(sp ?) solid but it was a hollow tube filled...it lasted a little while but the one i got now is SOLID!! ill post some pics soon, my bikes in the shop...

Hey Ryan, There are currently a couple aftermarket grab bars out there for the 400. What they actually are is a bracket kit and a 250r grab bar. So, you'd have to cut the stock grab bar off, weld on the brackets, then your new (replacable) grab bar can be bolted on. I'd look for the cheapest bolts I could find so that the bolts break before your subframe. Last I looked, aftermarket subframes run $350+

I REINFORCED MY STOCK BY WELDING PIECES OF ANGLE IRON ON THE TOP OF THE BAR, THEN WELDED A PIECE OF FLAT BAR ON THE BACK. IT ABOUT 2 INCHES BY 8 INCHES, AND IT WORKS SICK , SLIDES REAL GOOD FOURTH GEAR NO PROB AND REAL STABLE.
