Josh, got a question for yah, I just got a USB driver thingy and its supposed to be faster than firewire, I want to get some footage on my puter but its a good quality but after about 3 seconds of playing it lags a bit and repeats. Can you help me out?

Sounds like your capture settings are off. Depending on the program (most are the same), you should be capturing at NTSC 720x480 Video for Windows(if using a PC). What are you using for a computer and software?

Computer: AMD Athlon 1.0 Ghz processor, 184 ram, 20 gig hard driver (total) 7 gigs free.
I tried using several different programs, vegas video 3.0, windows movie maker and a sony something program.

Computer sounds as if it can handle a little video. Out of the programs listed, I would go with the vegas. I've used Sonic Video Factory and I believe Sonic makes vegas as well. They've got some good programs and their tech support is helpful. Good luck man.
