12 o clock bar

Re: 12 o clock bar
well i have an 03 Z400 and i made my own bar, i had taken an old bike rack which was made up of 1/4 inch steel. i cut off 2 sides then cut the back piece. put the quad on the back bar and marked the angle to the angle of the ground and then put 3 bolts on each side of the grab bar to hold it on, then i tig welded the back plate and ill tell you right now, ive never used anything better, and i know it was done to the specs i wanted it to. i mean ill pick up a wheelie in 4th or 5th and lay it right back on the bar and it just slides so nice, not to mention the sparks, haha. but here are some pics of the process and then the finished product, maybe it will help you if you wanna make one urself.

u can get a few pieces of steel from lowes if u got a welder and do it rwal cheap and very strong. mine cost me less than ten dollars including cutting wheels and metal and it wasnt hard to make. i used angle iron for the back and it is holding up better than i could have ever imagined
