Scrape bar

I'm going to weld a scrape bar on my 400 ex this weekend and was wondering if you guys have any suggestions and pictures of yours.

whats wrong with one you have?

The factory bar works great until it is worn through or you can get a DG grab bar bolt on made of aluminum and looks cool only 50 buck a roos

personally, I would drill holes in the scrape bar that's already on it, and bolt a piece of flat plate to the back of it. Thread the flat plate, and thread a bolt into it from the backside. This way, the plate is removable and replaceable, and you don't have to replace the grab bar every time you destroy it (which, in my case, grab bars have been lasting me about 2 weeks now). This is my next adventure with them, and I'm pretty sure it'll work fine, I've seen it done on bikes a lot before.

My bar was getting pretty bad so I just had a guy put a couple lines of weld on it and then we used a grinder to smooth it back out. Painted it and it looks cool. I think the weld will take longer to wear then the factory metal did too....We'll see!
