question

hey i have never owned a quad but have ridden a bunch of times, some guy is offering $900 for his 94' blaster, but i talked him down to around $750. its a 200cc but is this a reliable bike for a new owner, i am more interested in the price then the quality of the bike as long as it runs and functions good. any input would help, thanks

Re: question

Well it's lasted 12 years already. It all depends on how well you maintain it and your riding style. If you keep it up and don't treat it like ****, it should give you a couple years. But again it's a 2 stroke and every 50 hours or so they need a top end rebuild.

Re: question

do they sell top end kits, im going to school for all this, technical high school, so i dont think i would need to pay extra for labor when i can buy the rings and whatever esle is needed and fix it myself. what would that cost?

+1 i loved my blaster but like he said i constantly had to rebuild it. 2 strokes are fun to screw around with and stuff but too much of a pain in the a$s for me, So i now stick to 4 strokes:YEAH

Re: question

I have the opposite problem I've been trying to kill my 2 stroke and the ***** just won't die! It's also a 94 and I beat the **** out of it everyday since it was new. Never have touched the motor other than to drain some water out of it a few times
