Two tecates...

No cool stunt pictures...but I thought some of you old schoolers might like to see these pics of mine and my buddies T4's. I hadn't ridden since last summer, and it was a blast!

Re: Two tecates...

Oh yeah, you gotta love 2-strokes. It just hit me today that I was about six years old when they made my quad. I think it has aged better than I have! haha

Re: Two tecates...

Awesome !!! Props to ya for keeping them alive !!!!

Ahhhhh memories.... I'm an old schooler....... You brought back some precious memories for me.......

back in about....87....when I was a young whippersnapper like most of you fellas....... I owned a kawasaki majave.....the weak tame 250 4-stroke that was the tecate's little sister.... It was ok for me , cause it was my first 4 wheeler ever....So for 6 months it was ok......

Then ....One day while riding some sand pits in Fla. a guy shows up with a green tecate (my majave was red) I got to be friends with that guy (not many peeps rode that spot) and after he saw I could ride decent, he let me ride his **** a few times....... I remember How Frikkin Awesome it was !!!! It had a rippin' Motor....It had plush , long travel suspension (compared to my turd anyways) I felt like I was on a factory race 4 wheeler...... It also instantly upped my abilities....I jumped farther than I had before....and hammered the whoops and sugar sand turns wayyyy better than I ever had ...... great Memories :YEAH

Since then I've had about 5 more Quads and 50 to 60 Bikes.... I own an ex400 nowadays and about 8 bikes.....

Hi, My name is Chris , and I am addicted to adrenaline......

Re: Two tecates...

I actually traded a 2000 mojave to my tecate. Believe it or not, the tecate soaks up jumps WAY better than the mojave did. It's kind of a rough ride just puttin around, but when you really need it...it's there for you.

Re: Two tecates...

probably one of the rarest 2 stroke quads around...glad to see the 2 of them alive and kicking..i love the old 2 strokes....TRX250Rs, LT250Rs, and the Tecates (banshees dont count cause they just stopped making them) i've owned both TRX and LT's...my TRX is still around, no clue where my LT is....and i own a TRX hybrid (ATC350x engine) i hope to see the two strokes stay alive for ever!!!!

Technically not...you can still get a 2007 model year Banshee.

I love those Tecates...I've wanted one for so long....I've never even seen one in person! Rare for sure. Quadzilla's are pretty rare, and I've seen tons of those....but never the tecate.

Maybe if you dig around your garage long enough, you'll find one with all the other toys you own!
