New Mod I found on my quad

Thats right... the "drivers" side (or left side!) is cracked all the way, and the "passengers" side is cracked about halfway...
Looks like its time to put her up for the weekend and get that puppy welded up...
sucks too, cuz i just installed a hitch on my daily beater... so now I can bring my quad to the spot @20mpg vs the 6mpg my Blazer averages with only 1st and 2nd gear...lol

There is a frame company that makes a bolt on bracket for that as a lot of older Zs suffered from that. I want to say the company was Aren's. It won't fix the crack but it will reinforce the frame once it's welded.

Gus, I think the drivers side has been cracked for a while now. I was doin some jumps a few weekends ago, and landed front heavy once or twice.

Then, the following weekend, we were out in a pit, and I was running laps around the place... a lotta whoops and 2 jumps... really hard on the quad and my back... i think i might get one of those kidney belts if I keep that up...
Tiller and Jimmah, Thanks for all the info. I think I am gonna tear it down and have it beefed up and painted. I would like to do powdercoating, but I think thats too much money for this year. I have some one stage Metallic Blue I need to get rid of, so I will prolly strip her down and paint her. I do like the kit Bare performance sells. Lokks like it comes with a weld in belly pan... pretty pimp...

The trailboss is still rocking, perks of a 316 S.S. frame I guess I bent my axels and broke shocks long before I would even think about the frame breaking that sucks. Of coase your quad propaply doesnt weigh 500lbs either :-( shitty I have a fatass quad
