Hey guys...question.

At one time I was messing around with video editing just for fun. I was not really any good at it, but had a lot of fun with it.

I had contemplated doing something again, but most of the footage I have is of myself. I don't know, but for some reason it feels weird to edit video of myself....would seem like I'm way into myself or something.

What do you guys think?

I have been working on a sponsorship Resume' for the last 2 months...I finished the outline and all of my info on it except for the "Bio" section. I have tried and tried to write something about myself (in first or third person), and I just can't. Feels like I'm bragging.

Anyway that's another topic....Should I put together a little clip or not? Would it look like I'm obsessed with myself if I was the primary person in it?

I just felt like messing around with the editing software again to see what I could come up with.

On a good note, I'm at least trying to get things updated for spring.....it's been wayyyyyyy too long.

Got some new parts on order for the Z and everything. Can't wait until it warms up permanently.

Well I look at it a couple of ways. Last year riding was minimal, but overall better than the year before. Not nearly where I want it to be, but an improvement.

The year before last I made it to one comp...Had a blast...Hopefully can make it to more this year since I didn't get to last year.

We did however get to be in two Quad related DVD's...which I consider a fairly decent thing. Both of those companies have asked us back for this coming year, and we've also been approached by a couple of others. So that's a plus too.

Ideally we would ride a lot, compete in a couple of comps, appear in a couple of DVD's, and do at least a few local shows.

Do I think all of those things will happen? Well judging by the last few years the odds are against it....so I'll take what I can get. Honestly I'm content riding in my driveway, but whatever else happens is good with me.

Right now I just wanted to throw a little clip together just to show some people on the site that we haven't been completely under a rock the last couple of years. Almost...but not quite.

And Drew....we can surely talk!

Ah my friend....I actually did ask both company's if they were looking for additional footage believe it or not.

One said no because they were only looking to make a small segment...and the other said no because they already had other footage coming in from D-man.

However, there might be something cool happening this year regarding DVD's that I would surely give you guys a call about if it happens. I just don't have any of the details yet so no sense in going over it. Otherwise it will turn out like last year when I thought we had a show going on up here and I asked if you guys would be willing to come up. It wasn't nailed down and it ended up being postponed until this spring so I would have been better off not even mentioning it until I knew for sure what was up.

And PS....None of you losers reading this post are answering my question....the poll part was just for fun....haha.

make the damn vid! I have no problem what-so-ever doing a vid of just me... but soem people think I'm a ****, so take it or leave it. I dont think it is selfish or ****y or anything, esp for the reasons you wanna do it. It would be real cool to be able to show a company what they are sponsering, so they feel real good about it.
Good luck to ya Phear, you deserve some reconition for your talent...
Hopefully if enough of us get serious about this sport, we can make it happen. The more of us out there making vids, the more people are gonna see this sport as something that it can be... a competition.
